We are proud to announce that among the PRIN projects funded at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is “Fostering Sustainability Mindset: How Non-Financial Disclosure and Corporate Risk Assessment May Drive ESG Value Creation,” a research project that has received PRIN2022 funding from the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, thanks to the work of several members of the Sustainability Lab Ca’ Foscari: Chiara Mio, Marisa Agostini, Daria Arkhipova, Antonio Costantini, Silvia Panfilo, and Marco Fasan.
The project involves colleagues from the University of Turin, University of Genoa, University of Florence, and University of Perugia.
The main objective of this project is to strengthen the capacity of European companies to improve their performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions and to mitigate associated risks. Specifically, it aims to develop models and tools to increase corporate accountability. The theoretical and practical relevance of the project can be linked to two initiatives undertaken at the European level: the NextGenerationEU launched in 2020 to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the CSRD Directive (2022), which modifies and extends the sustainability reporting obligations introduced by Directive 2014/95/EU.
